I have been taking photos since I was about eight years old. My first camera was jenke Diana plastic camera with a plastic lense. Ironically the first role of film didn't work and it was soon discovered that the lense cap was stored inside the camera for stransport. Anyway after it was removed, The next roll of 12 was shot and well it wasn't too good. In 1978 my purchased me my first real camera The Minolta Hi-Matic F. I used this from the age of 10 up until I was 21, when it was lost. Just click on any of the cameras below to see my gallery for that camera.
The next Camera in line was my Yashica FX-3 Super 2000. A true SLR with a nice lense couple I aquired, one for Bokeh YASHICA ML 50mm f/1:2and close up work while the other offer a pretty good zoom option in the Yashica ML 70-210mm f/4.5-5.6
My Sony HX400V is a remarkable camera with its fixed Zeiss zoom lense and autofocus this camera is by far the most powerful one in my collection. Given to me by my mum when my dad passed away in 2025, I already completed quite a few shoots with my dad's old camera and its a very impressive and versatile sentimental shooter.
My Kodak Ektar H35N is a brillian Half Frame camera. Released in 2024 as a new model that shoots film, this camera fits in my EDC carry bag easily and turning the 36 roll into a 72 roll film gives me that retro look film image all day long. A very nice to have camera in my collection.
Another great EDC, this camera was also a presant from my mum. She only uses her phone for photos now so did't want it anymore. She found it on the road back in the early 2000s on the road oneday when she was coming home from work. It's compact, easy ti use and I resently found out, quite a sort after camera for those getting into the compact digital camera renaissance.
