Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. From my early experiences with film to the digital cameras I use today, photography has never really been about simply taking a picture. For me, it's about the camera, the process, the character of the image and, most importantly, the story behind it.
My Portfolio is the heart of this section.
Here you'll find my photographs organised into individual categories, covering the different subjects, places and moments that have caught my attention. Some photographs are carefully considered, while others are simply moments that I happened to notice.
The portfolio is also a record of the different cameras and photographic approaches I've explored over the years. It isn't intended to be a conventional professional portfolio; it is a collection of photographs that represents my way of seeing the world.

My photography is organised into four main categories, making it easy to explore the different subjects and places that have caught my eye over the years. Travel and Location brings together photographs from the places I have visited, while People focuses on the individuals and moments that have made an impression on me. Flowers and Plants explores the colour, detail and character found in the natural world, and Animals captures everything from wildlife to the animals encountered in everyday life. Each category offers a different perspective on my photography and the subjects that continue to inspire me.

The Shoots section brings together photographs from individual photography outings and dedicated shoots. Rather than organising the images by subject, these collections show the photographs as part of a particular occasion, location or photographic session. Each shoot provides a small visual story, allowing you to explore a group of images taken together and see how my photography develops within a specific setting or moment.

My Cameras is where the journey begins.
Here you'll find photographs and stories about the cameras I have used throughout my photographic life and, more importantly, the cameras that have been used to create the photographs you see in my portfolio.
Each camera has its own character. Some are modern, some are old, some are digital and some belong to the wonderful world of film photography. Rather than simply listing specifications, I wanted to document what these cameras mean to me, how I came to use them and what they have contributed to my photography.

This section is a collection of photographs taken with my Fujifilm X-T20 using a selection of custom Film Simulation recipes designed to recreate the look and character of classic photographic films. Each album is dedicated to a particular recipe, including AGFA DX HR 200, Fujicolor DX HR 100, Kodak Gold 200, Konica Super SR 100, Provia 100F, Ilford HP5 Plus and Yashica Golden 80s.
The photographs are intended to show how these recipes translate the character of those films into the digital images produced by the X-T20. Each album provides a visual record of the colours, tones, contrast and overall feel of the recipe, allowing the different film looks to be seen and compared through real photographs rather than simply as camera settings.
PhotoLab35.com
PhotoLab35 grew out of my own experience as a photographer and my particular affection for the analogue era of photography. It is my attempt to bring some of the character, discipline and enjoyment of film photography into the modern digital world.
Rather than simply being a photography website, PhotoLab35 is a collection of free photographic tools that I have created for photographers. These include ShootSort, MetaNote, WhiteBorder, Half-Frame, LightRead, RetroLab, WaterMark and SocialPost Framer, each designed to support different parts of the photographic workflow.
PhotoLab35 also contains the Film Simulation recipes used for the film-simulation photo albums featured on this site. These recipes have been created specifically for the Fujifilm X-T20 and include looks inspired by films such as AGFA DX HR 200, Kodak Gold 200, Provia 100F and Ilford HP5 Plus. They may also work on other Fujifilm models, although some tweaking may be required.
The idea behind PhotoLab35 is simple: photography should be accessible, creative and enjoyable. The tools and Film Simulation recipes are free because they come from my own photographic workflow and experiences. The site is as much a tribute to the craft as it is a collection of useful photographic resources.

Field Guide
Field Guide is my personal collection of practical photography references, guides and tools, created to make the technical side of photography easier to understand and use in the field. It brings together the information I find myself needing when I'm out with a camera, presented in a simple, accessible format that works just as well on a phone as it does on a computer.
The site includes camera manuals and references, exposure and lighting guides, a digital light meter, Film Simulation information and other useful photography resources. It is designed as a companion to my photography rather than a traditional photography website. Something I can carry with me and quickly refer to whenever I need a reminder, a setting or a bit of information. Visit Field Guide.
The Bigger Picture
Put together, these sections tell the story of my photography. My Cameras are the tools I've used. My Portfolio is the result. PhotoLab35 is where I share some of the knowledge, ideas and tools that have grown out of that experience. Field Guide brings together the practical references and resources I use to support my photography in the field.
For me, photography has never been about having the most expensive equipment or producing technically perfect images. It's about looking, noticing and capturing something that makes me stop for a moment.
That's what this section of my website is really about the cameras I've used, the photographs I've made, the film looks I've explored, the tools and knowledge I've developed, and the continuing journey of seeing the world through a lens.
