The cameras I own are a mix of old companions and newer tools, each chosen not for prestige but for the way they feel in the hand and the images they help create. My main digital camera is the Sony HX400V, inherited from my late father, and it remains my go-to for wildlife, birds, and everyday photography across Indonesia and Australia.
I also shoot film with the Yashica FX-3 Super 2000, a beautifully simple mechanical SLR that connects me to a slower, more deliberate style of image making. There's something awesome about film photography and the various format. It can be little expensive on a retired income so I use a Kodak Ektar H35N Half Frame. This gives me 72 exposures out of a 36 exposure roll, which is both economical when it comes to purchasing film and development costs.
Alongside these cameras, I have my iPhone 11 for spontaneous captures and quick edits. These cameras may not be the newest or flashiest, but each one has earned its place in my creative journey, shaping the way I see and remember the world around me.
